The MIVEC turbo unleashes its power around the entire torque curve. Based on feedback from WRC, tweaks have been made to the torque converter, variable valve timing and the turbocharger to provide more gut in the lows and mids. The result is all-out performance over a wider rpm range, especially in the Lancer Evolution trademark 3,000-5,000 rpm band. On the road this means you fly off the start and accelerate through takeovers.
